Julie Lucas

Julie Lucas is the General Manager of Allevia Hospital Ascot. Julie has a wealth of knowledge and over 40 years of expertise in emergency nursing, education, leadership, and management. In her previous roles, she was Nurse Director of Operations for the West Coast DHB and chair of the Emergency Care Coordination team for the upper South Island.  

Julie is dedicated to providing the best possible care for our patients by encompassing the Te Whare Tapa Whā model of care – ensuring spiritual, physical, mental and whānau health are catered for. She has a passion for nurturing the professional growth of her teams, enabling them to excel and contribute effectively to patient care.  

Julie has an interest in exploring innovative strategies that enhance healthcare services making them more efficient. She is an authentic leader who is empathetic and compassionate. Julie ensures a high standard of quality and safety is maintained across Allevia Hospital Ascot.
