Hospital entry

Allevia Hospital Epsom

If you are coming to Allevia Hospital Epsom  you can be dropped off in the car parking building, accessed via Gate 1 on Mountain Road. You can then enter the hospital through the main reception on level 1, which is signposted from the car parking building.    

Allevia Hospital Ascot

If you are coming to Allevia Hospital Ascot you can be dropped off in the car park outside main reception. You can then enter the hospital through the main entry. 

Respiratory symptoms

Patients

Patients who are unwell with a respiratory illness such as COVID-19 or influenza at the time of their admission surgery date may be deferred.

All patients will be verbally screened for respiratory illness symptoms during their admission, and throughout their stay. 

Visitors

Visitors are not required to wear a mask.

Visitors are also asked not to come into our premises if they have respiratory illness symptoms. 

Admission support

Once you arrive at reception, you will be met by an Allevia Hospitals staff member, who will take you to the admission unit.    

Patients may be accompanied by one person (friend, whānau member, or carer) throughout the admissions process.  

Your specialist will come and see you before your surgery.

Allevia Hospital Epsom redevelopment

Please be aware that building works are underway at Allevia Hospital Epsom as we prepare for the opening of our new hospital wing. This means you may experience some noise. While we will do our best to manage the noise in patient areas, ear plugs are available if it becomes an issue. You are also welcome to bring noise cancelling headphones.    

Please be assured that our building contractors are adhering to health and safety and infection prevention and control protocols.

Wi-Fi access

Free Wi-Fi is available for all patients and we encourage you to stay in touch with your loved ones using your own personal devices.

Posters are displayed around our site that include log in details and passwords for your convenience.

Key support person

On occasion, patients are accompanied by a key support person throughout their stay at Allevia Hospitals. A patient’s key support person may be:

  • A parent or guardian of a child under the age of 17.
  • A carer of a patient with an intellectual or physical disability.
  • A companion to a patient nearing end of life.
  • Other – as agreed with the Charge Manager or Clinical Nurse Advisor.

If you require a key support person, please ask your specialist or their secretary to notify Allevia Hospitals Customer Support Team three to five days before your admission. Your specialist or secretary will advise you directly of the outcome of your request.  Some patients may have multiple key support persons, assisting patients on a rotation basis.

Contractors, medical representatives & suppliers

Visitors are not required to wear a mask.

Visitors with respiratory illness symptoms are asked to not come onto Allevia Hospitals' premises.
