We are excited to share our progress in transforming Mercy Hospital to become New Zealand’s leading private healthcare campus.

Exciting Future For Mercy Hospital

MercyAscot prides itself on the excellent quality of care and services it provides. We put our patients at the centre of everything we do, striving to deliver exceptional care and an outstanding experience for every patient, every time.

As well as surgical services, Mercy Hospital offers radiology, Awanui Labs, endoscopy, a pharmacy, and the most comprehensive range of cancer care services in one place in Auckland. The campus is home to Mercy Hospital, Mercy Radiology, Auckland Radiology Oncology, Intra, Canopy Cancer Care, the Heart Group, and various specialist clinics.

Mercy Hospital will continue to grow and evolve to continue delivering excellent care, keep up with technological advances and meet increased patient demand. The new campus will include a modern hospital wing as well as upgraded grounds and buildings to deliver seamless, high-quality health services to patients at Mercy Hospital.

“We are committed to patient-centric, high-quality care, and we recognise that modern, purpose-built surroundings play an important part in delivering that care for our patients, as well as creating a state-of-the-art environment for our specialists, staff and tenants,”

Mercy redevelopment - update September 2023

We are pleased to confirm that we have appointed Leighs Construction Ltd to construct the Main Build of our project. The Christchurch based company has experience in similar healthcare projects across the country.

Since the project's inception on site in 2021, we have completed the following major milestones:

  • Enabling work
  • Piling
  • Excavation
  • Crane installation
  • Foundation works
  • FMauri stone ceremony

Finding your way around

Patients should be aware that the entrance to Allevia Hospital Epsom, which was previously next to Allevia Radiology Epsom 2 on Mountain Road, has moved further down the road, closer to Almorah Road.

The new layout means patients can now drive directly up the ramp of the new car parking building from the new entrance to the dedicated patient parking. Patients and visitors can enter reception from here. Mobility parking is also available on this level.
